A 49-year-old post office clerk stopped working due to a combination of depression and anxiety as well as knee and back pain. We represented her starting at the reconsideration level. She was initially denied benefits and we requested a hearing. Tragically she passed away while we were waiting for a hearing. We were able to continue to pursue her claim with her daughter being a substituted party. Her daughter testified at a hearing about her mom and the reasons she had to stop working. She was approved and her daughter received her moms back pay benefits totaling $60,270.
